Giving back to our healthcare heroes

At Slim’s Healthy Kitchen, we believe in the power of nutritious food to fuel both body and mind. That’s why we were delighted to visit Craigavon Area Hospital today, alongside our brand ambassador, Olympian and A&E doctor Philip Doyle, to give back to the incredible health care professionals who work tirelessly to care for others.
Philip is not only an elite athlete, having won bronze for Ireland in rowing at the Olympic Games, but also a dedicated doctor working in the A&E department. His passion for both sport and healthcare aligns perfectly with our mission of making healthy eating easy and accessible.
During our visit, Philip joined the Slim’s team in handing out free nutritious meals to his hardworking colleagues. We understand how demanding shift work can be, and we wanted to ensure that the hospital staff had access to wholesome, delicious food to keep them fuelled throughout their long hours.
“We are incredibly proud to have Philip as part of the Slim’s family,” said Ciara Toolan, Marketing at Slims Healthy Kitchen. “Not only is he an inspiration in the world of sport, but he also plays a vital role in the community as a doctor. We wanted to extend our gratitude by giving back to those who work so hard to keep us healthy.”
Philip himself emphasized the importance of proper nutrition, especially for those with busy, high-pressure jobs: “I’m delighted to be working with Slim’s Healthy Kitchen because they make healthy eating simple and accessible, which is so important, especially for professionals like my colleagues in healthcare.”
